My sister is my best friend and is someone I have always admired. My sister Brittney is older than me but despite that age gap we have always been extremely close. My whole life she has been by my side. When I was a toddler she was the only one who understood my misspoken words and interpret my baby talk. She would be the one to communicate what I needed to my parents. She knows what I am thinking before I say it, the things I like and even the things I don’t. Britt and I have just always been able to understand each other. With out having to say what we think or how we feel we are able to just relate to one another on a deeper level. We just understand each other. God understands us completely without even words being spoken. God knows our hearts even better than we do.
God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.- Acts 15:8
God knows us better than we know ourselves and of course he does because he is our creator and heavenly father. He sees what is true within us and it is there to pick us up when we fall.
Growing up like most people do I admired my big sister and I wanted to be just like her. I have been blessed with such a kind hearted older sister that she lets me join in on everything throughout all the phases of our lives. When I was younger I remember always trying to go upstairs when she had friends over to play with them and Britt would always let me.
I am no longer the little kid following her around but we are best friends who take on life together. It’s more than safe to say I spend most pf my time with my sister and she is my everything, my business partner, confidant, best friend, and from time to time my cook! My relationship with my sister is a bond that can’t be broken. We are not just sisters but best friends and I depend on her and she depends on me. As we have grown older our lives have began to look more similar and all of our milestones we are reaching together.
Having a sibling they know every part of who you are, they are the people you share your life with and they have seen you at your absolute worst and best but they still love you despite it all.
I would not be the person I am today if it was not for Britt but the same goes for my relationship with God. The unspoken communication I have with my sister is similar to unspoken communication we have with God.
God knows us and knows our hearts without having to tell him. He has been with us through our whole life journey because he is our creator. God loves us despite all the human flaws we possess. He wants us to learn to seek him above all else and to view him as our everything because God gives us joy, happiness, comfort and promises eternal life. He is a good father and we should learn to embrace his love and accept his word as the center of our whole life working to foster and grow in a relationship with him. The unspoken communication that is shared between God and you is a beautiful thing.
Challenge: Do you have anyone in your life who just gets you on a whole new level? Think of that connection you feel with them and multiple it times 100 to see the connection God shares with you!
