One lesson God has taught me is that I don’t know what my future holds and that although I can dream up plans, they may always change in accordance to his will. God’s plans are bigger and better then any I could ever dreamed of and I don’t know all the plans for my future. As humans we can’t even imagine all the future events that God already has in store for us. There are things that we can’t control, each event that we experience and each person brought into our life comes with a purpose.
"Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.”-proverbs 19:21
We don’t pick who God sends into our lives, You can’t chose huge or dramatic life events and you can’t plan for the future because Gods plans are always going to prevail. Life is funny in a way that you can think a situation is going to turn out exactly the way you hope but then at the last second a huge curve ball is thrown and life changes drastically.
God has given us one life, to live, to love and to be joyful. We have one shot to make this life one that we are proud of and use our days to best serve God. We are only given one chance to live a life we are proud of.
We are givethis momenttoday but we are never promised tomorrow. You can’t know what tomorrow will bring or even what life will look like one year from know. You can anticipate what may happen but you never really know what God has in store for you.
In 2008 when I was diagnose with cancer, it was a complete shock that changed my life and perspective greatly. That was 9 years ago but still today I cant even imagine to anticipate what the future holds. If you would have asked me a year ago what my life would like like today my guess would not even mirror half the wonderful things that have occurred in these pass few months let alone a year. Last year I had
had no idea any of these things would have come to fruition and my life would look the way it does. In a year I opened a second company, changed schools, graduated, met new people and started to find brand new passions. Life changes in the blink of a eye and its so amazing to see it all happening.
Life is unpredictable and there are always challenges that are going to be thrown into our path that help us pursue our faith and grow as stronger people.
After being diagnosed with a life threatening illness, having to spend years of my life fighting to live and watching many close friends pass away to me It is a shame to think that this one beautiful life God has given us would be wasted. Wasted being consumed by school, living life behind a computer screen, never going to do things that bring you joy or just wasted on what ever worldly force or thing might consume you. God gives us one shot at this life. We are his children and he gives us a wonderful gift of joy and he wants us to enjoy our life by serving him with each action.
God puts desires, love and dreams in our hearts. The experiences we have and the people we share them with are what make us who we are .
Don’t waste life never going after what you want and waiting till the “perfect time” to pursue something. There is no such thing as a perfect time. God gives us free will to chose how we life.
One dream I have always had was to do horse back ridding. Ever since I was a little girl I had always loved horses and wanted to take lessons. For different reason I never actually pursued that dream until this year. One day I was at a photo shoot at a barn with horses and I thought to myself If I don’t sign up for lessons today then I will never sign up and a dream I had would just be a dream. The thought that something I always wished to do would just stay a dream made me really sad, because life is short, days are precious and God only allows us one chance at life. So I called a barn and signed up for lessons. Ever since that day I go to the barn and take lessons weekly, and I love it. Being with the horses, ridding and follow a dream of mine makes me so happy and brings such joy into my life. I take every opportunity to talk about horses at the barn or to share my new found passion with others because I care about it and I am thankful I have the opportunity. I was scared to jump at on a limb and start a new sport at 19, I was scared to try something new, I was unsure if I was going to have enough time but I did it anyway, and I am so thankful I did.
I believe life always comes down to your priorities, you make time for what matters the most to you. If you care about something you can find time in your day to follow your dream and give your passions attention. God gave us free will because he loves and trusts us enough to make our own choices for our life. No one can decide the choices we make and how we react to events expect us. We chose our priorities and what we care about most. Jesus is my number one priority and I strive to serve him with all my actions.
We don’t pick who God sends into our lives, You can’t chose huge or dramatic life events but we do chose how we react when God brings these things our way.
A life wasted is a life not lived. If you have a dream do it, if you love someone tell them, if you want to travel the world travel. don’t waste your life waiting for a perfect time, being consumed with worldly things our planning for the right time and place to then follow what Gods put into your heart. I trust Gods plans and I know that his plans are bigger and better then any I could have dreamed of
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”- Psalms 119:105
